Purpose of the Job
The Marketing Analyst is responsible for providing analysis and producing reports on activities related to marketing and advertising effectiveness. This role focuses on measuring and assessing the behavior of customers, prospects and users across our product platforms and their responses to our marketing activities.
This role uses data and advanced reporting to enable internal stakeholders to make the best strategic decisions. The Marketing Data Analyst must be comfortable working with marketing teams to better understand campaign effectiveness by conducting both planned and ad hoc analyses, preparing reports, and communicating insights to a variety of audiences.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Analysis
• Support marketing efforts across all web properties
• Produce marketing campaign effectiveness recurrent reports using data from a variety of sources
• Produce deep analysis and insights on ad hoc requests
• Support reporting needs of the management team
• Audit and verify that all appropriate data feeds are accurate, reliable and stable and work cooperatively with technical teams to resolve date feed issues.
• Support marketing operations and marketing teams to produce high quality reports
Analytics Strategy
• Create and maintain standardized procedures for reporting and data analysis
• Contribute customer engagement feedback to requirements for current and future products
• Identify and escalate opportunities to improve reporting processes and data feeds
• Understand the buying process and optimize the ecommerce and other sites to align with multi-channel marketing objectives
• Integrate online, offline, ecommerce, sales, and other source data to provide holistic response to stakeholders
• Ability to synthesize key findings and provide a recommended course of action based on data.

• Ability to thrive as a strategic partner to sales, product/content development, product and marketing management, and marketing operations colleagues within a complex matrix organization

• Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values and nurture relationships with key external content development partners
Functional and Technical Competencies
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with Tableau and/or Knime desired
• Experience with one or more web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Unica, NetInsight, Adobe Analytics, etc.) desired
• Data management skills (cleaning, linking, analyzing, reporting)
• Investigation and resolution of data discrepancies to ensure data accurately represents the reality of the business
• Experience using statistical analysis methodologies (clustering, decision trees, regression, etc.) desired
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences
• Minimum 1 years of Analytics Experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field (i.e. MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics)
• Prior marketing experience (B2B preferred) for digital content, education or healthcare preferred
• Basic understanding and exposure of statistical principles
• Ability to manage quickly changing data landscape and adapt priorities appropriately
• Willingness to assume increasing marketing responsibility as role evolves
