FOX Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 28 stations in 17 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Charlotte.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The FOX O & O duopoly in New York, WNYW FOX 5 and WWOR MY 9, seeks a highly-motivated, team-oriented professional to develop and maintain new business sales efforts for the stations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to identify new business opportunities, engage in consistent face-to-face sales calls, possess a creative approach to multi-platform sales initiatives and consistently close new business deals.
Candidate must meet or exceed quarterly new business goals and is responsible for managing developed accounts as well as creating strong marketing presentations that clearly outline station’s ability to meet the needs of prospective new business clients. Individual must be a self-starter who can work independently; must possess strong communication skills, ability to cold call and fully develop new business accounts. Must have a working knowledge of Nielsen ratings; solid presentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; candidate must be able to demonstrate prospecting skills, identify new revenue streams as well as redirect revenue from other mediums. Position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to create and present sales decks. Television sales experience is preferred.
