We have an exciting Data Governance Technical lead employment opportunity in our Corporate Information Systems team. The team is working to build a world class data driven organization that includes Data Governance enabling advanced analytics and Data Science across Bose. The goal is to have proactive data quality, enable certified data, provide for a searchable data catalog that includes lineage from visualizations to source systems decreasing analytics time to value.

Responsibilities include:
• The Data Governance Technical Lead role accelerates advanced analytics and Data Science time to value by implementing innovative solutions that:
◦ Automates Data Governance processes (metadata capturing, lineage, etc.) on a timely basis.
◦ Is Reproducible at scale to support a Bose centralized Data Governance program as well as functional teams.
◦ Provides support of Data Science and Advanced Analytics project/programs reducing administrative data governance tasks and action items.
◦ Measures the value data governance and data quality to identify key areas of improvement. Work with key stakeholders to improvement those measurements across Bose.
◦ Provides subject matter expertise across the data platform ecosystems (internal and external) across Bose reducing discovery time.
◦ Validates new and existing data environment architecture ensuring embedded data governance.
• Build and manage a team with skills that provide a self-service Data Governance ecosystem including Data Visualization Analyst (help tell the story of success), Data Quality Analyst (help translate business rules to Data Quality rules), Data Engineering Analyst (help execute data quality rules and measurements), and Application Analyst (design, implement and support Data Governance business tools)
• Design technology stack that can support Data Governance people and processes
◦ What data is available (Data Catalog)?
◦ Is the data relevant and meaningful (Data classification)?
◦ What does the data mean (Technical/Business metadata, Business Glossary, and Reference Data)?
◦ Where did the data come from (Data Lineage)?
◦ What is the quality of the data (Data Quality)?
◦ Is the data verified (Certified Data)?
◦ How can I get access to the data (Processes)?
◦ Am I in compliance by using this data (Policy)?
• Stay current on data and governance changing technology landscape providing insight into proactively implementing solutions (Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence) driving data decisions across Bose including.
• Provide support of Data Science and Advanced Analytics project/programs reducing administrative data governance tasks and action items.
• Partner with Legal, Information Security and HR to ensure compliance and security of data including developing solutions around masking, encrypting, pseudonymizing, and synonymizing.
• Develop and execute quarterly plans while aligning to Bose strategic vision.
• Track and measure wins including return on investment measuring quarterly governance results and value delivered.
• Supervise Data Governance technical team removing roadblocks and mentoring the team to accelerate knowledge and Data Governance maturity.
• Complete reviews, participate in annual salary reviews, develop individual training program to increase Data Steward skills, and outline career path for each employee.
Skills, Knowledge and Experiences
• Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of designing and implementing Data Governance tools from a business perspective.
• Minimum 3 years working with visualization tools, data ingestion tools, API knowledge, and has successfully executed application integrations.
• The ideal candidate will understand how people, process and technology can come together to enable advanced analytics, Data Science and data management.
• Experience in data quality, data governance and supporting tools.
• Proven experience of cross functional leadership in complex organizations with strong emphasis on influencing and collaboration.
• Strong analytical orientation.
• Teach, mentor, and provide value on a consistent basis to stakeholders.
• Ability to translate strategy into an operational plan and can execute delivering consistent value to Bose.
• Supervise a team of 5-6.
