This role is responsible for managing the end to end process of monetizing all excess and obsolete inventories within secondary re-sale markets. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of recommerce activities including maximizing financial recovery of asset value through liquidation, repair parts harvesting operations, and asset recycling operations. The role is responsible for evaluating different re-selling options so as to maximize financial recovery for the company while simultaneously minimizing the expense of re-marketing activites. This resource is responsible for quality control, process review, and service-level compliance for all recommerce activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partners with sourcing to on-board all new buyers and maintain existing buyers of excess and obsolete device and accessory assets.
• Manages Buyers’ contract compliance and service levels.
• Resolves disputes with buyers and communicate with internal partners when issues arise.
• Owns the relationships with all recommerce buyers.
• Responsible for Continuous Improvement Program for recommerce operations, including service improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
• Owns and manages distribution performance measurement and reporting programs.
• Coordinatesthe successful sale of returned assets working directly with buyers.
• Responsible for verifying payment of re-sold assets before shipping sold product to buyers.
• Maintain knowledge of customers to strategically position products to buyers.
• Establish professional, working, and consultative relationships with customers by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the buyers within their industries.
• Accept inbound calls from buyers and sources involved in the recovery of assets including the disposal of E-waste (Electronic waste).
• Provide accurate and prompt customer service and effectively manage buyer relationships.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations and/or related field required. MBA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of supply chain, logistics, operations and/or wireless experience required.
• Strong communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate and maintain strategic business relationships required.
• Experience negotiating partnerships and structuring agreements required
• Proven track record of problem solving and negotiation skills required.
• Financial modeling, budget development and budget tracking experience required
• Business Requirements development and documentation experience required
• Strategic & Tactical Planning experience required
• Proficient knowledge in the use and application of MS Office tools (Visio, Excel, Power Point, Word)
• Expert knowledge of the Electronics Recycling industry required.
• APICS-CSCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Six Sigma certification preferred.
