Job Description
TEGNA is continuously improving the HR service delivery model and the systems and technology that support it. In that light, we are in search of a top-notch Talent Acquisition Operations Manager who will report to our Director of Talent Acquisition, lead a team of Specialists, and serve as the Subject Matter Expert in designing and implementing best-in-class talent acquisition processes across the enterprise.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Talent Acquisition leader who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, managing change and process improvement, using data to drive decision-making, and creating solutions for day-to-day problems.
As the Talent Acquisition Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead operational strategy, and utilize tools and technology to build reporting & analytics. In your role, you will also be involved in recruitment marketing and branding initiatives.
In this role, you will:
• Use your creativity, expertise, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to help transform our recruiting function to a strategic Talent Acquisition organization
• Lead a team of Specialists who execute administrative components of hiring (posting jobs, collecting interview data, drafting offer letters) and onboarding (pre-employment screening, entry in onboarding system) for 800-1000 hires annually
• Own implementations of new recruiting technology as needed; integrate new and/or existing systems to reduce manual processes and improve candidate and employee experience
• Facilitate ongoing training, communication, and education on system upgrades and enhancements to drive adoption and full utilization of all recruiting technology
• Establish and manage 3rd party relationships and define and measure success based upon metrics and deliverables
• Monitor and manage Talent Acquisition compliance requirements, including background checks and FCC compliance
• Partner with Director of Talent Acquisition to develop recruitment metrics that drive optimal quality, speed, and cost of hire
• Develop and manage recruiting reports, metrics, and dashboards
• Identify new opportunities to improve quality and streamline operational initiatives for hiring and onboarding
• Develop training programs for interviewers, hiring managers, and recruiters
• Build and scale recruitment initiatives as needed, such as an employee referral program, employer branding campaigns, etc.
Job Requirements
Here’s what you need:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, ideally with a multi-location corporation
• Management experience preferred
• Operations experience encompassing analytics, process improvement, system administration and client and candidate excellence
• Excellent analytic and metric-based skills and recruitment system experience (i.e. ATS, CRM and Social Media tools)
• Vendor management experience
• Demonstrated understanding of recruiting operating procedures, guidelines, and legal requirements as they apply to compliance in employment practices and applicant tracking
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence others into action and to think creatively about solutions
• Established project management, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Change management experience, with recruiting tools and processes focus, preferred
• Demonstrated problem solving, communication, and relationship building skills
