Job Description:
The Exec Dir, Strategic Planning & Delivery is a senior operations leadership role within Dow Jones. This role will help lead and transform the media operations function. This role will report to the VP, Strategic Planning & Delivery and will be based in New York.
Strategic planning & pricing and campaign performance are key responsibilities for this role. Post-sale digital operational activities will need to be refined to ensure our systems and processes and best-in-class while constantly evaluating the latest developments in ad tech. Key to success will be driving a strong digital and client-focused pre- and post-sale culture that increasingly looks to technology and automation to enhance revenue potential and efficiently serve our client base.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the integrated Planning/Pricing and Revenue Operations teams
• Develop, hire and grow a team and associated processes for handling our most strategically important, high-touch/highest value clients
• Foster a fast-paced culture that thrives on flawless delivery of both print and digital campaigns
• Help transform the team to become a future-focused digital powerhouse, meeting the customer need for simplicity and transparency
• Assist the VP, Strategic Planning & Delivery to drive automation and standardization wherever possible across operations
• Develop pricing and packaging strategies and inventory controls
• Work with VP, Strategic Planning & Delivery and Director, Ad Ops to drive positive programmatic evolution
• Work closing with site Product teams to represent the Strategic Planning & Delivery perspective for new business initiatives, including the launch of new products
• Deliver consistent campaign performance that drives real customer value
• Utilize data and analytics to drive positive outcomes for our clients and increase renewal rates
• Be a thought leader and early adopter of Ad Tech, partnering with the SVP, Ad Technology as required
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• At least 5-10 years of experience managing both pre- and post-sale operations for a digital and print publisher
• Significant revenue management experience, including media planning, pricing, digital operations and campaign performance
• Have managed large scale process and technology transformations within media companies
• Client-focused mentality, drive to deliver results
• Holistic perspective and ability to formulate a new strategy
• Deep understanding of media sales and operations
