POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Email Marketing will manage the planning, scheduling and deployment of email marketing campaigns targeted to Spectrum customers and prospects.
In this role you will be the primary contact for all email programs. And you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with internal and external teams to oversee the execution of all email campaigns.
To be successful in this role, extensive email marketing experience is required.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead cross functional teams in the planning, development and execution of email marketing campaigns, including customer engagement, upsell, acquisition and awareness campaigns
• Manage vendors to ensure flawless operational execution
• Develop and recommend strategies and measure results through timely and accurate reporting
• Collaborate with internal brand teams to build efficient creative processes that simplify campaign execution, including the development of wireframes, templates and dynamic content to increase operational efficiency and creative flexibility.
• Develop and execute testing strategies, including subject line optimization, creative presentation and messaging
• Build contact strategies and customer-centric email calendars
• Maintain awareness of changing technologies and leverage industry best practices
• Be a thought leader for email within Charter Communications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Proven experience planning and executing email marketing campaigns
• Comprehensive understanding of email best practices including design templates, dynamic content, testing methodologies, deliverability and audience segmentation.
• Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically
• Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and develop recommendations autonomously
• Ability to manage multiple projects from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy
• Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties in a fast paced environment
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise
• Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to manage and foster change
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year college or university in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
Related Work Experience
• 8+ years of email marketing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and phone products and services preferred
