Overview
HarperCollins Christian Publishing seeks a bilingual Account Manager to sell our Spanish front list to accounts in various sales channels through a designated territory in Latin America. The Account Manager is also responsible for managing inventory, managing the backlist, placing key titles on various promotions, managing co-op dollars, forecasting inventory needs, participating in pub-boards, tactical planning meetings with publishing, and reporting to stakeholders.
The Spanish and international unit is a high paced, quickly changing environment. While our methods may change over time, the goal is still the same over the years, to find ways to create a bridge between HarperCollins and the consumer in Latin America. This position is for someone who enjoys being challenged and who can contribute with out-of-the box ideas.

The Account Manager will have the opportunity to meet people from all over Latin America, will get to travel to fun places, and have the satisfaction that he or she is making a difference in the Spanish speaking world by getting content that will challenge, education, entertain or inspire consumers, and allow authors to get closer to their readers.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities Include:
• Present Front List titles to buyers, right after sales conference
• Work with promotions coordinator on accounts, to place key products on end-caps, catalogs, mailers, web-sites, etc., where the product has special visibility.
• Revise POS data with accounts, and make inventory adjustments to make provision to meet account needs
• When appropriate, create custom products to gain shelf space with accounts
• Report on a weekly basis to supervisor, on sales, pending issues, accomplishments, challenges, etc.,
• Actively participate in Pub-Boards and tactical meetings
• Participate in sales meetings with supervisor and peers
• Respond to customer requests
• Read and interpret reports to manage accounts, manage discounts, returns, trends, etc.,
• Frequent international travel
Qualifications
Work Experience:Minimum 5 years of sales experience in Christian and/or general market retail or wholesale in the book industry.
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, marketing, management, related field, or the equivalent in work experience.
Industry Knowledge:Knowledgeable in the book industry, retail, and wholesale, knowledge of the Christian industry is a plus.
Required Skills:
• Fluent in both, English & Spanish (written and verbal)
• Computer proficient, word, excel, power point, etc.,
• A track record of at least 5 years of successful sales.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Independent and disciplined
• Self-starter with an entrepreneur spirit
• A problem solver
• Ability to persuade others
