FULL-TIME JOB OPENING
Operations Supervisor
Six Flags Fiesta Texas is seeking an energetic individual to heighten our aquatics team through the delivery of next level service and safety. This person will be expected to drive the waterpark experience for both Guests and Team Members through their initiative, safety oriented behaviors, and commitment to creating a positive environment. They will also work in various aspects of Operations as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Oversees daily operation of the waterpark to ensure everyone's safety and satisfaction with individual attention and service.
• Builds and maintains a positive, high performance team culture generating increased retention, motivation, and team morale.
• Mentors all aquatics Team Members to achieve their goals through positive communication, encouragement and coaching.
• Manages all aspects of waterpark operation to include adequate staffing levels are met, training is timely and tracked, and facility and staff are rescue-ready.
• Ensures 100% compliance with all standard operating procedures pertaining to slides and attractions including procedure creation and revisions as waterpark operation evolves.
• Assist in formulating action plans and analyze data/trends to drive continuous performance improvements and incident reduction.
• Ensures compliance with Ellis & Associates, as well as corporate aquatics, policies and standards.
• Maintains records as determined by Six Flags and Ellis & Associates policies.
• Coordinates and conducts lifeguard certification, department orientation, slide training, in-service and continuous on the job training with organization and attention to detail.
• Displays a calm and attentive approach in solving problems and handling difficult situations.
• Assists the Waterpark Manager as Manager On Duty of the waterpark.
• Assigned as needed in Admissions during strategic time frames.
• Detaches to the Entertainment Department as a Work Crew Supervisor assisting with load in and strike of Special Events, such as Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park.
• Performs off-season slide care, such as pressure washing, waxing, and performing minor fiberglass repairs.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or as necessary to support Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
PREFERRED IN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Ability to obtain or currently hold an Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Instructor Certification.
• Minimum two years of experience in aquatics operation with a strong performance history in one or more of the following areas: lifeguarding, lifeguard training, swim instruction, and CPO/AFO.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with team-oriented approach.
• Self-starter with the ability to anticipate and manage multiple projects of varied priority through planning, execution, and follow up.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in addition to organizational, administrative, and public relations skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time outdoors in various weather conditions to include extreme heat and sun.
• Available to work flexible hours and varied shifts including weekends, holidays and overnight.
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a valid Texas state driver's license and become certified to operate powered industrial equipment.
• High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
