Bose's Personalized Customer Experience (PCE) team is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to propel forward our innovation in customer experiences. The ideal candidate has proven Scrum Master skills in fast-moving startup environments, and experience with Digital Marketing and CX delivery.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Scrum Master is responsible for monitoring scrum processes and coordinating Agile ceremonies, such as standups, sprint reviews and retrospectives. He/she also ensures the team adheres to Agile principles, provides project management coaching and support, identifies and removes team impediments and manages team dynamics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Guide the team on how to apply Agile/Scrum practices and guidelines
• Coach the team on how to get the most of out self-organization, both at a group and an individual level
• Assist with removing team impediments and roadblocks
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution or judgement
• Enable transparency and sharing of information within the concept test team and throughout PCE and the Hive
• Support and coach the Concept Owner in grooming and maintaining the concept backlog to ensure clear, concise stories and tasks are developed that can be understood and actioned by the team
• Facilitate and participate in key Agile ceremonies
• Monitor key performance metrics (e.g. team velocity) and progress toward outcomes
• Facilitate team discussion and conflict resolution so that decisions are reached by team consensus
• Protect the team from external interruptions and distractions
• Manage concept test team using appropriate tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence) and provide guidance and training on how to use them most effectively
• Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement, growth and fun
HARD SKILLS
• Possesses Agile certification (CSM)
• Knowledge and/or experience of Agile Scrum techniques including user stories, story point estimations and Agile testing methodologies
• Understanding of other Agile methodologies (e.g. Kanban)
• Teaching and coaching abilities to support team members that are new or inexperienced in Scrum
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
• Ability to identify team impediments and take action
• Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
SOFT SKILLS
• Ability to demonstrate a servant leadership style and lead by example
• Ability to engage and motivate teams toward common goal
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
• Detail oriented and results driven
• Ability to challenge the status quo and enable new ways of working
FIT CONSIDERATIONS
• Experience executing and managing Agile teams
• Strong interest in driving new ways of working and positive cultural shifts
• Able and willing to commit 100% of time to Hive role
• Startup experience is a plus
