The Role:
The analyst is responsible for supporting the revenue management organization’s ticket supply and pricing strategies. The individual will analyze key market drivers to determine opportunities and assess performance. They will lead or assist in all steps of the analysis, from gathering data and crunching numbers, to drawing conclusions and presenting results. Analysts will drive growth by identifying opportunities to modify prices and/or secure more ticket supply for high-demand events.

• Business Driver:The team you will be a part of is in charge of driving the business forward, delivering incremental revenue and profit. This role isn’t a support function, it is a growth engine.
• Analytics Expert:The secondary market for tickets is dynamic and complex, with hundreds of actors across thousands of events. An experienced analyst will help us create value for Ticketmaster and also for content owners, resellers,and fans. They will have the critical ability to turn insights into business-building ideas.
• Persuasive Story Teller:You will be working on analytics that will be presented to Ticketmaster leaders across all functions and to third parties (leagues/teams/resellers). Translating and simplifying the data into true insights that will drive business strategy and change behavior is essential.
• Sprinter and Marathon Runner:We are lean and move fast; months of contemplation aren’t a luxury we can afford. But we aim to build long-term, sustainable approaches to limit rework and to give our partners the confidence we can stick to long-term strategies and roadmaps.
• Cross-functional team player: We value transparency and helping one another. There is no “me” culture. Communication across the entire team will lead to greater individual success.
Responsibilities
• Assist in all aspects of the revenue management program including analytics, reporting, new opportunity identification, and strategic development
• Identify deficiencies in ticket supply and address with appropriate team members
• Keep a pulse on technology and product changes and understand the impact to pricing and ticket supply
• Conduct pricing and ticket supply analyses to identify opportunities for increased sales or profit
• Demonstrate appropriate level of understanding of sports and entertainment industry dynamics
• Strengthen our analytics capabilities, providing in-depth support to our ticket supply management team, to executive leaders, and to Ticketmaster’s Client organization, which works closely with teams, leagues, promoters, and venues
• Provide ad-hoc analyses as needed
• Drive additional Ticketmaster Verified inventory
• Utilize internal tools to identify key events and highlight focus areas to Broker Services team
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in economics, finance, business or engineering
• 1-3 years of work experience, preferably with a demanding consulting or banking company
• Comfort with large data sets
• Highly skilled in Excel, SQL, Access, or other big data software
• Experience with statistical models
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
• Outstanding communication, attention to detail and organizational skills
• Desire to help create a fun and productive culture, leveraging Ticketmaster’s focus on sports and music
