JOB DESCRIPTION
National Geographic Partners is in search of a Sr. Manager, Digital Analytics. This is a key role within the NGP Insights and Analytics team to help drive growth and engagement across our digital properties.
Responsibilities:
Lead the developments of actionable insights to grow and optimize NGP Digital business:
• Generate insights and recommendations for the Digital business based on data.
• Foster an insight-driven culture in the Digital team through training, automation of digital analytics reports, and storytelling and data visualizations to make the data easy to understand and actionable.
• Present key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, measure actions taken based on the recommendations, and draw conclusions or lessons learned for future initiatives.
• Work closely with various stakeholders within Insights and Analytics team to generate insights across of all our platforms, focusing on the impact of our digital properties on the overall initiative.
• Collaborate with the U/X team to plan, monitor, and measure the results of A/B tests
• Conduct digital competitive analysis. Stay up to date on competitive landscape and industry trends, and disseminate findings and key trends to the team.
• Train employees across NGP on various digital analytics tools
Lead technical implementation and quality assurance of digital data sets, such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, and other data sources as needed:
• Define analytics requirements based on the business needs
• Oversee analytics implementation, QA, and maintenance
• Work closely with FNG Digital Analytics and NGP Digital Product and Technology teams for planning and implementation
Manage digital analytics vendors on a day-to-day basis, including setting priorities on tasks or projects, advocating for new tool features, and being the main point of contact for the vendor throughout NGP.
Manage, train, and mentor Digital Analysts on analytics and professional development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Marketing, Business, or Mathematics. MBA a plus.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in digital analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable presenting to a large group of people.
• Ability to work well in a cross-functional team
• Passionate about analyzing the meaning of data. Ability to analyze data and turn them into insights through storytelling and data visualization.
• Experience with various analytics tools for websites and apps, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Chartbeat. Deep knowledge in Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics a must.
• Knowledge of Tableau, Domo, or other data visualization and dashboarding tools.
• Knowledge of Spredfast, Shareablee, Social Bakers, or other social media measurement tools a plus.
• Knowledge of Nielsen, Canvs, or other TV measurement tools a plus.
• A strong leader who deeply cares about the team objective and staff development.
• A strong team player, highly motivated, and highly organized.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
