Requirements
The Digital Product Manager is responsible for managing the product life cycle of macmillanlearning.com. We expect the digital product manager to define the product vision, gather and prioritize requirements, and work closely with key cross functional teams to ensure the goals are met to support the organization’s overall strategy. The ideal candidate is always thinking of ways to improve the user experience.
Responsibilities:
• Supports the Senior Product Manager with the vision, strategy, design, and execution of the product roadmap.
• Translate product, customer and business needs into functional requirements.
• Collaborate with technology, marketing, design, and operations to continuously improve the product, while managing small and large scale projects for continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and track issues that are identified and identify root cause and a solution.
• Own the product backlog and groom it by defining and prioritizing based on business and customer impact.
• Manage the product development cycle of the redesign/migration project from the planning to the production release.
• Regularly review the analytics and VOC to improve and optimize user experience.
• Conduct usability research to improve the user experience.
Skills/Experience Required:
• Minimum 3 years of experience with online consumer-facing digital products as a product manager or a project manager
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proven ability to dive deep in understanding complex business, product and architecture
• Experience managing a product with complex back end integration
• Experience with SAP Hybris or other CMS
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience working with cross functional teams: technology, QA, design, business operation, legal and etc
• Ability to figure things out on their own
• Self-motivated and proactive. Willing to roll up the sleeves and get things done.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, consistently adhering to strict deadlines and evolving priorities
Skills/Experience Preferred:
• Agile methodology or SCRUM experience
• Experience with accessibility
• Experience conducting user research, writing test script and analyzing the outcome of the test results
• Experience in Google analytics
• Experience in SEO
• Experience in publishing
• Experience in business systems (eg. CRM, Digital Asset Management, etc)
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
