Job Summary:
As Media Supervisor, you function as a key member of the Media Planning Team and are responsible for overseeing the translation of media strategies into final recommendations based on the client’s campaign goals and objectives.
Must have digital and traditional online/offline expertise.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Oversee development, execution and maintenance of client media plans
• Actively seek to and participate in long-range strategic planning for client
• Manage a staff of media professionals. Develop the staff through performance management and giving consistent feedback. Identify with staff, developmental opportunities and help them to work toward their professional goals
• Set realistic client expectations while always trying to exceed them, by providing quality work in a timely and responsive manner
• Serve as a liaison among internal agency and client creative agencies contributing to a client account
• Maintain thorough, and real-time knowledge of client business
• Manage and be accountable for media budgets and client billing
• Reports to Senior Media Manager or Media Director
Experience Guidelines:
• 3+ years of experience in account management with focus on interactive media, or areas in marketing, advertising management
• 1+ years experience in managing or developing a junior staff
• Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of media planning tools such Adrelevance, @plan, Nielsen Net Ratings, MRI, Strategy and Comscore
• Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Solid presentation skills
• Strong planning background with experience of media budget or client revenue of at least $5MM+
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and vendors
• Working knowledge of traditional media (broadcast, print, OOH) not required but preferred
• Frequent travel may be required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent military experience
