About The Role
We are now looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. You will support the strategic business objectives of our exciting and dynamic attractions by providing quality financial information and maintaining efficient and effective financial controls in a customer focused environment.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support the General Managers of our attractions by providing effective analysis to ensure effective decision making and a clear picture of what is driving performance in terms of volume, yield and costs base, working capital, and capital expenditure.
This role is based at Madame Tussauds Nashville, however it will support our New Openings attractions in North America. This role is a full time, exempt; based upon working 5 days out of 7 (typically Monday to Friday) however flexibility is required as there may be times when you will need to work weekends and outside or normal operating times. Travel to our attractions throughout North America on as needed basis.
Salary up to 50k
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of revenue reporting, accounts receivables, accounts payable, and cash room management.
• Support Head of Finance with preparation of budgets, business and capital plans.
• Review of financial systems, procedures and controls in all areas of the business, encouraging best practice and ensuring adherence to legal requirements and accounting principles.
• Provide support to General Managers by assisting with the analysis of revenue, cost of sales, and inventory management. .
• Provision of financial information relating to the attractions for use by the internal management team and submission to Merlin Entertainment, plc in accordance with strict deadlines. This includes management accounts, weekly statistics, profit forecasts, balance sheets, cash flows, capital expenditure, etc.
• Ensure all expenditure and income is properly accounted for in the correct accounting period.
• Coordination of the annual budget process. Provision of consolidated information for review/discussion by the senior management team.
About You
• Minimum of 3 years of finance/accounting experience.
• Strong computer skills. Ability to utilize standard software applications to include MS Office suite and advance excel skills.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting software.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as necessary.
• Excellent management and interpersonal skills
• Possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Desire to work in fast-paced environments.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. MBA degree, CPA/CMA or similar certification preferred
