Loss Prevention Supervisor
Summary:
Directly responsible for protecting the park against the loss of assets and when losses do occur, identifying and apprehending the individual(s) responsible. Assist in all training of Loss Prevention personnel. Responsible for direct supervision of department personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures 100% compliance with all Corporate Loss Prevention standard operating procedures.
• Ensures proper staffing levels are maintained, staff is assigned appropriately, efficiently and effectively scheduled.
• Conduct or facilitate training for all departments as it relates to control and loss issues and awareness.
• Conduct or facilitate background investigations and interviews in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Intimate knowledge of applicable state and local laws, with annual reviews for changes.
• Conduct or facilitate investigations and investigative interviews of employees who have been shown to be involved in impropriety.
• Review reports and statements for external and internal cases for accuracy and completeness.
• Schedule and oversee periodic analytic tests of critical areas as described in the Loss Prevention Manual.
• Interfaces with management to identify root causes of problems and assist in developing effective action plans.
• Track issues learned through audits and interviews.
• Perform or assists with all other duties as assigned by either the Manager of Loss Prevention, Director of Finance, Corporate Loss Prevention.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be 18 yrs. old or older
• Must possess a valid Driver's License
• High School diploma or GED
• Able to pass a thorough background screen
• Able to stand/ walk for long periods of time outdoors in extreme heat/cold and sun
• Must be proficient in Word and Excel
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, holidays and weekends
Required Skills:
• Excellent organizational, communication, computer and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented and highly motivated
Preferred Skills:
• A combination of experience demonstrating career progression and / or business or criminal justice related degree
• 2 yrs. Loss Prevention experience
• Strong knowledge of CCTV systems to include installation, use, and maintenance
