GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for partnering with Management to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the three resort properties to deliver the best candidates to the organization.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following)
• Work with the Management team to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood.
• Assess applicants knowledge, skills, soft skills, and experience to enable the best placement.
• Manage full circle recruiting process to meet staffing goals. This encompasses advertising, networking, job fairs, interviews, direct hires, on-boarding etc.
• Determines applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualifications.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with management.
• Actively participate in all staffing related activities, ie: job fairs, DETR, Veterans job fairs, local Universities on-line job boards, etc.
• Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits.
• Supervise recruiting personnel.
• Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules, escorting applicant to interviews when needed.
• Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement.
• Provide regular feedback and updates to Managers.
• Extend offers of employment within company procedures and guidelines.
• Create and implement marketing strategies to identify passive job seekers.
• Develop strong relationships between business leaders in the Community and HR.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Assist with special functions initiated by HR.
• Manages and assists in J-1 program, international interns; advising management on placement and requirements needed.
• Regular and predictable attendance in accordance with the Eldorado Resorts Policy.
• Other job related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Understand and comply with all Hotel/Casino and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and Team Members. Good organizational skills required along with excellent communication skills. Ability to perform basic math. Read, write and communicate verbally in English. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures. Knowledge of mentoring, negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading and speaking with people.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience: Three to five years of experience in Human Resources. Knowledge of general principles of recruiting. Knowledge of staffing systems. Experience in managing applicant tracking systems. Experience in candidate sourcing solutions. Bi-Lingual, Spanish is preferred.
Certificate/License: PHR or SPHR preferred but not necessary.
