Design Intern
10-Week Internship in New York City
For undergrad or graduate student
Looking for an exciting opportunity as a Design Intern to support a dynamic Content Marketing and Social Media Team? If you have a strong design aesthetic, a passion for education, and are up on social media trends that engage with audiences (specifically, teachers and administrators), this is the opportunity for you.
The Design Internassists the Content Marketing and Social Media Managers by creating compelling, original assets. You will conduct photo research and editing that complements blog content and create social media images designed to engage with our audiences. You will follow brand guidelines to maintain brand integrity. You have excellent design skills and be willing to learn the blog/content marketing production process and stages.
Responsibilities include:
• Photo research, editing and sizing
• Creating social media images, memes, video clips
• Routing work to internal stakeholders; keeping track of status
• Customizing content for distribution across social media channels
• Keeping up with trends and developments in the education industry
Skills
• Photo editing
• High level of organizational skills; ability to manage several projects simultaneously, and prioritize
• Willingness to take direction
• Verbal and written communication must be professional, clear, direct and accurate
• Excellent attention to detail
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Physical Requirements
• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
