Job Summary
We have openings for our 2018 Summer Internship Program in Business Process Innovation - Database and Analytics team. Interns will provide support to the team by assisting with the development of end to end process strategies and performing data analysis and reporting. The ideal intern should major in business intelligence, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, CIS or any other degree within the College of Business. Intern positions will be located in Broomfield, CO.
Job Description
• Responsibilities:
• Analyze data, system or process gaps between sold opportunities vs. orders in progress
• Data research in multiple ordering and quoting systems
• System flow analysis on in progress orders
• Assist in coming up with recommended solution for the gaps found
• Assist in maintaining documentation via SharePoint and Wiki
• Engage in ongoing meetings and tasks with the Data Governance team to assist in overarching data definitions, design and priorities. May be required to meet with individual team members or sub-teams. Ensure that needs of the team are represented & met.
• Report Evolution for the ‘Customer Experience Dashboard’ – Review existing inventory of reporting applications and recommend best in class approaches to business intelligence organization and presentation.
Qualifications
• In pursuit of Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
• Experience in data and reporting. Understanding and knowledge of data sources and how to apply and analyze associated data such as MS SQL / ORACLE
• Demonstrated skills in researching systems and system flows
• Flexibility in overcoming challenges, and working around obstacles – both technical and organizational
• Ability to oversee and drive tasks to completion
• Experience using Windows-based applications including Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Oracle & SQL Server Management Studio knowledge
• Database structure, data collection, ETL and reporting (SSRS, Tableau)
• Data Science knowledge
• Project management knowledge

Requirements:
• Must submit a resume, transcript, and a letter of recommendation (at time of interview)
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher (Preferred GPA 3.2)
• Must be currently enrolled at a 4-year accredited College or University
• Must be a rising junior, senior or graduate student
• Must work 30-40 hours per week during the 10 week session
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work daily for the duration of the internship
