Position Overview
The Regional Product Marketing Manager (RPMM) will be responsible for marketing PSAV’s Core AV product solutions across a designated territory (West Region) and serving as a direct conduit to the Product Management team. The RPMM will work closely with sales, internal/external customers and PSAV’s Product Managers to define and competitively differentiate the company’s product or product family and resolve issues that will affect product's success. Key responsibilities will include being involved in special trainings, promotions, designing demos and identifying potential obstacles and solutions. Success will be measured by the RPMM designated regions ability to demonstrate total awareness of PSAVs core AV technology offering, measureable increase in new technology adoption through increased revenue, and ability to drive feedback to the appropriate PSAV Product Manager.
Key Job Responsibilities
Promoting Products and Initiatives
The RPMM will assist in promoting PSAV’s Core AV product solutions across their designated regions by utilizing all existing marketing materials, designing and implementing product demos and taking part in regional events that offer the opportunity to increase the visibility of PSAV’s product offering to both internal and external customers. All locations within the designated territory should be fully aware of the products and initiatives, their intended applications and available resources to support the field in promoting these solutions to our customers.
Product Awareness
The RPMM will work closely with PSAV’s Product Management team to fully understand the company’s product portfolio. An emphasis will be placed on all Core AV technologies, both existing and new, as well as any initiatives related to these offerings. The RPMM will need to realize the reasoning behind why products were selected and their intended applications. They will also need to be fully aware of all resources that have been developed for these products to help support field operations. The RPMM will need to be acutely aware of revenue goals and potential obstacles that will need to be overcome by our internal and external customers. The RPMM will be in a position to help our field operations overcome any objections to promoting the products or initiatives by partnering closely with PSAV’s Product Managers and utilizing their expertise as needed.
Customer Relations
The RPMM will maintain close relationships with PSAV’s internal and external customers by visiting and keeping regular contact with the locations within their designated region(s). This will include but not limited to field visits, participation in regional meetings, such as DET meetings, and consistent use of feedback tools such as surveys and other means to maximize awareness of our customer’s needs. Customer needs can be but not limited to opinions or concerns on existing products, new technologies that should be considered, and methods to increase operational efficiency. Feedback will be regularly presented to the Product Management team and action plans will need to be implemented. The feedback received will drive future action items to make sure our customers’ needs are being met.
Analysis and Reporting
The RPMM will review revenue trends and feedback for all product categories within their regions and review with the appropriate Product Managers to assess success and areas of opportunity. Reports and KPIs outlining regions overall awareness, unmet needs and progress related to PSAV’s core AV offering will be crafted with an emphasis on action items that should be considered to assist the region in meeting targeted goals.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 5+ years of electronics or A/V product management/marketing experience
• Analytical ability and understanding of financial analysis
• Intermediate experience level with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group situations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet or exceed multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to interact in a team oriented environment across multiple levels of an organization
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with external clients and suppliers
• Up to 50% travel
This position can be based out of any PSAV branch location within the Western States.
