The Director of Project Management should be a goal-oriented self-starter with experience managing project managers as well as multiple strategic development projects from start to finish. This individual will be responsible for understanding business needs, serving as a subject matter expert on Skipta’s product offerings, and leading successful project execution with an eye towards business value. This individual will work directly with Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Client Solutions, and our offshore development team to ensure flawless execution and superior service to Skipta’s clients. The Director of Project Management will also contribute to the creation of requirements specification, development progress tracking, design input, test/validation results, existing and new internal procedure decks, user manuals, release notes, etc.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
• 5+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of project planning, development, and execution
• Experience managing teams directly and cross- functionally
• Experience in onshore/offshore delivery model
• Excellent understanding of project management principles, such as organization, documentation, and delegation
• Experience working within the full software development lifecycle (SDLC); both waterfall and agile experience preferred
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project required
• Experience with agile software development tools such as Assembla, Jira, etc. required
• Digital industry experience such as email technologies, web technologies (HTML, XML, web services, APIs, etc.), or mobile applications a plus
• PMP certification a plus
• Flexible and able to easily adapt and prioritize rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities to meet deadlines and milestones
• Results-driven, able to self-direct and work independently in a remote work environment
• Ability to facilitate communication across lines of business within an organization
• Must possess strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
