Job Description
Job Summary:
Oversee all elements of the Entertainment Department operation including but not limited to recruitment, auditioning, placement, training, overall show production, technical services, special events, concerts, rehearsal, and daily supervision of all Entertainment Department Employees. Develop and administer department policies, procedures, and budgets. Accountable for enforcing all park policies and procedures while maintaining Team Member and Guest Satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with the Human Resources Team to recruit, audition, place, train, and facilitate employee relations programs for all Entertainment Department Employees.
• Supervise and implement all Park show productions, special events and concerts.
• Long and short term planning, creating, managing and supervision of all aspects of Entertainment productions including facility management, show installation, and operation supervision.
• Common managerial responsibilities to include hiring, training, discipline, performance evaluation and other duties associated with Entertainment Team Members both seasonal and full-time.
• Prepare annual budgets, review and forecast performance throughout the year. Oversee labor control and expenditures for the Entertainment Department.
• Develop supervisory staff to maintain schedules and ensure proper staffing of the Entertainment Department.
• Oversee all operational functions related to the safe and effective operation of the Entertainment Department.
• Responsible for maintaining a "Total Safety" culture for Team Members and Guests.
• Assume common operational supervisory duties associated with the Entertainment Department, including Department Duty Manager and Unit 10 responsibilities.
• Shared project management, implementation, and supervision of large scale park promotions and events, such as Fright Fest.
• Support the company mantra of providing Friendly, Clean, Fast and Safe Service to our Guests.
• Other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Must Possess:
• Post High School degree preferred but not required, specializing in Technical design, Theatre, Communications, or Arts Management or similar related experience.
• Outstanding leadership, team building, and motivational skills. High standards and expectations.
• Excellent creative, organizational and communication skills.
• Good instincts and analytical skills. A common sense-based, hands-on management style.
• A positive, action-oriented focus in the areas of guest service, employee relations, and safety. A willingness to support park-wide initiatives.
• Strong financial skills to ensure budgets are monitored and forecasts are accurate.
• 3-5 years' experience in Entertainment management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
• Valid Drivers license.
