Maximize Starz Entertainment (STE) subscribers and revenue via development and implementation of Point of Sale (POS) strategies with Affiliate Multichannel Video Programming Distributors (MVPDs) to grow subscribers, market share, and increase viewership and awareness of Starz products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop strong working relationships with affiliate and affiliate partner sales channel decision makers to facilitate and expedite the sell-in of STARZ initiatives.
• Seek new opportunities to grow STARZ within the affiliate sales channels. Understand and adapt STARZ activities to the affiliate environment, market conditions, and competitive situations to meet or exceed goals.
• Secure impactful access for STE at priority affiliate sales sites to influence affiliate and affiliate partner employees to position and sell STE services. Integrate STE messaging into POS environments to reinforce sales behaviors.
• Develop and implement Starz product sales programs and incentives for affiliate sales channel employees to support Starz marketing strategies. Monitor and track results for maximum program performance and conduct analyses to ensure a positive return on investment. Design/implement contingency plans to improve performance. Execute prize procurement and fulfillment as needed.
• Ensure that all affiliate POS employees understand key features of STARZ products and how to present STARZ during customer interactions. Plan what training tactics will be applied to each POS audience, what resources need to be developed, and how ongoing training will be implemented.
• Work with internal departments to develop customized training tools and support training plans. Conduct on-site and remote product training according to plans.
• Establish goals for POS activities and institute processes and tools to measure progress.
• Track subscriber and revenue results of each assigned business unit to ensure revenue growth goals are achieved and exceeded.
• Manage remote on-going communication with key contacts as well as POS reps through a variety of digital platforms.
• Manage individual business, premium, and Travel & Entertainment expenses within assigned budgets. Schedule travel with in-house travel agent.
• Maintain customer databases and orders for marketing materials distribution.
• Consistently demonstrate leadership and teamwork. Provide clear and concise updates to team, sharing findings, best practices and information that the team may find helpful.
• Continually develop new ideas to improve business performance. Increase team or group selling efforts by inspiring, motivating, and guiding others toward goal accomplishments.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
• Utilize and understand information of the marketplace, affiliate business initiatives, competitive activities, and available resources to derive business plans.
• Create and execute business plans as part of the overall company, division, and region subscriber growth strategies.
Required Skills:
• o Bachelor’s degree preferred
◦ 3 years experience in a sales and marketing role, preferably within the TV entertainment field.
◦ Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software applications.
◦ Exceptional communication skills.
◦ Ability to travel 75-85%
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
◦ Experience in cable, satellite, telecommunications, or entertainment industry a plus but not required.
