POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the coordination of social media marketing to increase awareness, affinity, and advocacy for Showtime Original Programming across social networks. Work closely with Series Social Leads and Director to execute socialmedia across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, tumblr, Reddit and others. Work with other members of Digital Media group as well other SNI departments and external partners on related projects.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
SOCIAL MARKETING (80%)
• Social media asset management and development
◦ Responsible for the management of key social media profile assets including updating profile key art, description copy and Twitter lists
◦ Schedule social posts using approved publishing tools and directly on platforms
◦ Work with agencies, design, creative, and production teams to support creation of weekly key in-season assets
◦ Distribute key art, images, creative templates, weekly video clips, and other content to social media agency
◦ Prep copy for press releases going out on key profiles and Showtime brand handles
◦ Source creative assets related to talent asks for Live Tweeting, Facebook Q&As, etc.
◦ Manage all aspects of GIF creation and distribution to partner platforms including clip requests and work with internal creative teams and partner agencies
◦ Manage development of on-going creative tactics in JIRA for ad hoc posts including trending topics, holidays, talent activations, awards nominations, et al
◦ Lead fulfillment of social contests and giveaways
◦ Coordinate with PR team on relevant articles published by writers and news to share with fan communities, contribute to publishing to Showtime communities, and distribute to social agency
◦ Be available on Sunday nights to support live Community Management during on-air linear premieres, finales and special events via Showtime brand Twitter handle
• Manage Key Account Marketing, SHO Store, theatrical and documentaries across social media
◦ Collaborate with SHO Store and Key Account Marketing teams to establish key dates
◦ Schedule placeholders in content calendar and post finalized Acquisition and SHO Store content across series and Showtime communities
◦ Utilize social media publishing tools to schedule and craft copy for theatrical and documentary posts for review
• Campaign Support
◦ Responsible for maintaining list of fans and influencers that have won prizes, attended events and partnered with for giveaways
◦ Oversee Surprise & Delight fulfillment by Digital Media Group Coordinator
TALENT MONITORING, FAN ENGAGEMENT, AND SUPERFAN AND INFLUENCER LIST MANAGEMENT (10%)
• Assist with fan engagement of tentpole titles during in-season and hiatus windows
◦ Monitor talent profiles for content to RT and fan comments to like and reply
◦ Use social monitoring tools to identify fan content for engagement
◦ Utilize existing GIFs and craft creative copy for responsive messaging
REPORTING (10%)
• Assist with Reporting
◦ Compile bullet points from series social leads and pull key engagement and community metrics from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for distribution in the Weekly Social Update
◦ Compile key data for end of season reporting
DECISION MAKING/ACCOUNTABILITY:
Position requires ability to make daily decisions related to above responsibilities. Requires ability to implement and manage several projects concurrently as well as prioritize according to levels set by marketing strategy. Requires ability to coordinate needs of digital and social media marketing team, several internal departments, and external partners to meet objectives. Accountable for development of content, implementation of plans, social media publishing, relationships with existing communities, blogs and social networks and increased awareness of Showtime and programming online.

• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills
• Flexibility
• Some understanding of cable and streaming landscape
Preferred:
• College degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Film/Media Studies
