POSITION SUMMARY: Supports all analytic and business intelligence efforts of the company’s internal and external business for report development, quality assurance, and analysis. Responsible for ensuring team members are meeting delivery timelines. Mentoring others and acts as subject matter expert for analytics.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
Provides technical leadership, guidance and direction to other team members
Provides leadership during the development and enhancement of the enterprise’s production applications including working with applications, technical support and operations during the design, development and implementation of applications
Leverages all aspects of BI technologies and architecture such as delivery mechanisms (i.e. portals, dashboards, OLAP), data model/architecture, data integration/ETL and reporting tools
Integrates data from various sources including on system and off system sources
Meets with project team(s) regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines
Analyzes data, design and develop complex custom reports and dashboards using in-house reporting platform with little or no supervision
Validates report results against requirements for consistency and accuracy
Troubleshoots and analyzes data issues within reports
Communicates results to business staff and supports business decisions
Develops standard processes for business user requests for BI and analytics
Develops and maintain other BI and analytics standards for BMI including data sources and a data dictionary
Actively participates as an analytics and BI advocate and expert on teams to help promote the development of an analytics and BI culture within BMI
Regularly updates management of development status
Regular attendance
Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
Minimum seven years of experience with business intelligence tools, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI and Cognos preferred
Minimum five years of experience with development processes tools, SSIS preferred
Minimum two years leading technical implementation teams.

Experience building complex enterprise systems
Proficiency estimating work assignments and delivering to these estimates
Performance history of providing technical expertise with high levels of integrity and results
Expert level of proficiency with IBM Cognos 8.x and/or 10.x, 11 a plus (Analytics)
Expert level of proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI
Expert level of proficiency with SSIS / SSRS 2012 or greater
Proficiency with SQL (any vendor)
Proficient with Data Warehouse technologies and concepts such as dimensional modeling and cube development
Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office
Highest level of confidentiality
Able to establish a constructive and informative relationship with team members, management and vendors
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical manuals
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Working knowledge of data repository needs of the Microsoft Azure product stack
Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies
