Ellation is looking for a passionate Social Media Video Coordinator to oversee custom video production to support Crunchyroll and VRV’s off-platform community efforts. The Social Media Video Coordinator will develop, edit, and optimize a streamlined and strategic plan for social video in coordination with the Senior Manager - Social Media & Editorial Programming, writing and producing custom video in-house, as well as coordinating the efforts of third-party script writers and editors.
Our audience represents a passionate and eclectic group of individuals that deeply love anime, animation, gaming, science fiction, horror, and so much more. You should have a working understanding of the Crunchyroll and VRV audiences, have a deep relationship with content on both platforms, and think about the world from a creative perspective, supported by analytical reasoning. We’re looking for a talented storyteller and video editor who knows what content will delight and engage fans on social media!
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and execute custom video development across social platforms from pitch to final delivery.
• Develop and maintain workflows related to social video production, including but not limited to: concepting videos, script writing, coordinating video contractor content development, and video approvals with the Brand Management team.
• Manage and coordinate special video projects with external clients and internal stakeholders.
• Drive constant iteration / improvement of our off-channel video content, employing new techniques and incorporating new trends.
• Identify successful video content from peers and competitors, and incorporate key elements into subsequent videos.
• Coordinate efforts of contract video producers and video script writers, working closely with the editorial team to ensure team priorities, and quality of work are maintained
• Key Measures of Success:
◦ Increased viewership and engagement on custom videos distributed on social media.
◦ Increased viewership and engagement on outsourced video content.
◦ Regular experimentation with novel video styles and new social trends.
◦ Ability to maintain high quality of work even under deadlines, free of clerical errors.
◦ High volume of content produced with minimal errors regarding grammar, spelling, or accuracy of the story.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years experience in developing, producing, and editing video for digital platforms.
• Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly with Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• A passionate storyteller with demonstrated writing skills, and a talent for creating high-quality and engaging copy with a quick turnaround.
• Excellent grammar and spelling skills, with an eye for detail.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and facilitate communication in a fast-paced setting with multiple stakeholders.
• A curious personality with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and requests.
• Must be able to work well in fast-paced environment with high volume projects and quick turn-around.
• Ability to incorporate brand guidelines and adhere to best practices.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of anime, animation, and pop culture are essential, as well as a basic understanding of the Crunchyroll and VRV brands.
• Proficiency with the Japanese language a plus.
