Job Description
What you'll do:
The SVP Director is the overall strategic navigator for the client portfolio, managing the group and leading the senior level brand relationships. You would report to EVP Client Director in leading the day to day operations of all client brands and leading a team of up to +10 direct reports.
• Responsible for overall management of the brand’s business (both traditional and digital) throughout the entire strategic, planning, and implementation process
• Continuously survey pulse of client and client industry needs to prompt and feed innovative ideas/solutions to internal digital and analytics creation leads
• Monitor and recommend improvements to the entire digital process
• Expand utilization of digital and analytics creation capabilities in assigned key account or suite of accounts year over year
• Ensure people are adopting the best in class tools, techniques, systems to deliver digital processes
• Oversee the Digital Campaign Optimization process: ensuring it is being implemented as planned
• Interpret strategy statement into ideas and actions; develop planning into composed marketing tactics that deliver on stated goals using agreed to KPIs
• Drive the integration of digital specialisms into the planning team
• Develop client digital knowledge, understanding and ultimately sharing digital within the communications mix
• Inject ideas, innovation and leading industry developments into planning assignments
• Lead in strategic positioning, segmentation initiatives and in areas of holistic program planning and idea generation/execution
• Use analytics to inform and validate planning and digital strategy
• Manage strategic implementation and measurement/optimization of plans; generate projects that are integral to the brand’s marketing and learning plans
• Supervise, train and develop staff, including managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy, performance management.
• Identify new digital opportunities and capabilities to develop our digital service provisions
• Work with internal & external teams to ensure that strategic themes are implemented properly; deliver critical leadership and ensure output is aligned with the business goals
• Create and maintain strong client relationships by attending client meetings and maintaining regular contact
• Strong knowledge of media basics across channels, especially digital, in addition to being able to defend plans to clients & manage multiple projects at the same time
• Progressive experience in various levels of client service
• Proven experience and success in presenting plans to client and influencing top level client decisions related to local media strategy and implementation
• Proven track record of exemplary client service
• Candidate must be a self starter, proactively building key relationships across the agency
• Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills
• Strong client presentation skills and business writing skills
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and client relations
• Detail-oriented and proven ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Pharma/OTC and/or CPG experience a plus
Qualifications
Who You Are:
• You have a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications preferred.
• Stractivation Strategy/Investment
• Experienced strategist with 12+ yrs. of work exp.; Senior brand client interaction and management, and close partnership and collaboration with other agency partners;
• 7+ years of management experience, ideally leading teams of 5 or more employees
• Ability to strategically plan campaigns from audience determination, through how to best flight and execute campaigns to align with clients strategic goals and KPIs
• Injecting ideas, innovation and leading industry developments into planning assignments
• Ensuring people are adopting the best in class tools, techniques, systems to deliver digital processes
• Developing strong internal and external partner relationships
• Developing direct reports
• Strong written and verbal communication (PPT, visual story telling necessary) allowing individual to explain how programmatic plans were developed, what they entail, and how they were executed
• Excellent communication, diplomacy, and decision making skills with the ability to think creatively.
