Description
The Research Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting data on location's performance on a daily, quarterly and annual basis.
Key activities
• Download daily Nielsen overnight reports
• Report to Nielsen changes to Program Schedule and lengths
• Interpret Nielsen statistics for research and presentation pieces for sales team
• Assist sales team with presentations
• Provide daily ratings analysis during sweeps periods
• Maintain rolling averages during sweeps
• Maintain Wide Orbit Sales, CMR, Scarborough and other research based computer programs
• Assist Director of Sales with corporate reports and presentations
• Provide assistance to all Department Heads with research information and interpretation
• Attend daily Sweeps Meetings when applicable
• Create new and update older sales presentations
• Update primetime, sports and specials schedules and ratings estimates
• Project demographic ratings and estimates for new programs, sports and specials
• Maintain sales and research e-walls for sales team
• Assist with the quarterly sales strategy books
• Assist and back up other sales assistants when necessary
• Perform other duties as needed
Education & Experience
• BA degree in Marketing, Advertising or Research preferred.
• Media buying and/or TV audience research experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
• Working knowledge of personal computer operation is required; Additional required programs are Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft Word. Preferred programs: Wide Orbit, Matrix Plus, One Domain, CMR, Scarborough, Neilson Advantage and data systems.
• Demostrate excellent written and verbal presentation skills
• Must be a well-organized, self-starter
• Must be able to work within a team environment.
• Excellent ability to analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources is essential.
