Job Title: Writer and Social Media Content Developer

Job Description and Responsibilities:
Wynn Resorts is the recipient of more Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards than any other independent hotel company in the world. Wynn Las Vegas opened on April 28, 2005 and was once again named the best resort in Nevada on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2018 “Gold List,” a title received for the tenth time. Wynn and Encore Las Vegas feature two luxury hotel towers with a total of 4,750 spacious hotel rooms, suites and villas, approximately 192,000 square feet of casino space, 21 dining experiences featuring signature chefs and 11 bars, two award-winning spas, approximately 290,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, approximately 103,000 square feet of retail space as well as three nightclubs, a beach club and recreation and leisure facilities. In addition to two luxury retail esplanades, a Strip-front expansion, Wynn Plaza, is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.
This position is located in the Employee Services and Communications department, which is a part of Human Resources. The department’s role is to provide exceptional service to our employees, communicate all pertinent internal communications to employees in a creative and effective manner, and develop employee events that reward exceptional employees, promote our company values and initiatives, and/or elevate the work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
• Writing, posting/formatting, and managing calendars for all “day-to-day” internal company communications, to include all content for Today at Wynn | Encore, WIRE news and alerts, the employee app and social media channels, display copy, standard company memos, surveys & acknowledgments, and the Next Big Idea employee suggestion program.
• Upkeep of WIRE/employee app kiosks and corresponding printers
• Understanding our company culture, standards, and values and ensuring all communications positively, accurately, and clearly reflect these initiatives.
• Remaining knowledgeable of social media and new media trends, and seeking out /providing recommendations on new technologies that can be utilized within our internal communications.
• Actively seeking out, proposing, and developing communication pieces that help keep our employees informed about our company.
• Reporting to, maintaining open communications with, and collaborating with the Employee Services & Communications Manager and Director of Employee Culture & Communications.
Job Requirements:
• Advanced interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational, and excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, be diplomatic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Excellent computer skills, to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Previous experience in corporate writing/communications preferred.
• Must have intermediate knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver and be proficient in HTML and CSS.
• Must have experience with a variety of current social media apps.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, with emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.
• Experience working with content management systems is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Communications, Writing, English, or a related field and/or 2 years of experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
