Position Summary:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for creating and validating low to medium complexity marketing campaigns, promotions, and programs through the use of the Players Club customer database, a campaign management tool and Mohegan Sun’s Casino Management System (CMS). Responsible for the technical configuration of market systems to execute criteria and requirements developed by the Marketing Executive Team. Aids in the development of marketing campaigns, promotions and programs by executing regular, custom and ad hoc query requests to validate populations. Identifies significant trends occurring within the database and creates reports and dashboards for Executive distribution. Performs duties with a moderate degree of supervision.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
• Responsible for creating and validating low to medium complexity marketing campaigns, promotions, and programs through the use of the Players Club customer database, a campaign management tool and Mohegan Sun’s Casino Management System (CMS)
• Develops and executes segmented direct mail and email campaigns based on specified criteria
• Creates and delivers export files to vendors in a timely manner
• Validates key components of all assigned campaign, promotion or program in order to mitigate business risk
• Coordinates all critical campaign, promotion or program components with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure proper execution
• Aids in the development of marketing campaigns, promotions and programs by executing regular, custom and ad hoc query requests to validate populations
• Effectively and efficiently utilizes software tools to maximize the value of the Player’s Club database
• Proactively, identifies gap and hygiene issues with the Player’s Club database and leads cross-functional teams of internal and external resources to address these issues
• Integrates control groups and other statistical best practices in the design and execution of Marketing campaigns, promotions, programs and projects
• Performs quality control checks on campaign, promotion and program deliverables
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing, Information Technology or other applicable discipline
• Intermediate SQL skills with knowledge on proper use of simple joins, conditions and table locations
OR
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience as a Database Marketing Specialist
• Four years of Marketing and/or Information Technology experience in the gaming industry
• Intermediate SQL skills with knowledge on proper use of simple joins, conditions and table locations
