The Director Social Listening Insights and Analytics is responsible for utilizing Social Listening and Marketplace Intelligence data to provide insights and reporting that will surface trending topics and identify, develop and exploit market opportunities. The position will be highly involved in solidifying the company’s social listening strategy. By listening, monitoring, and measuring conversations, this person will equip our business partners with timely insights to strengthen business decisions and recommendations. This position will utilize social analytics and other syndicated data sets to explain category dynamics, identify emerging trends, and identify influencers. The position requires the ability to work independently to utilize Business Intelligence tools to transform data into insights. In addition, a high level of collaboration with cross-functional teams and data providers will be essential.
Responsibilities:
SOCIAL LISTENING -
● Develop segmentation tools to understand consumer behavior and profiles, and utilize social data to complement learnings from consumer research.
● Utilize Crimson Hexagon, Sprinkler and other social analytics platforms to explore category, segment, and brand conversations and synthesize with syndicated data to enhance marketplace insights and reporting.
● Work with the Digital Product and Tech teams to identify, secure and manage suite of analytic platforms.
● Stay up-to-date on new social listening strategies and tools, and work with Crimson Hexagon and other related account teams.
● Assist Innovation teams by identifying trends and emerging segments across TBA and adjacent categories.
MARKETPLACE INTELLIGENCE -
● In addition to social listening analytics, this position requires a deep understanding of syndicated analysis tools, which will be utilized to complement social data and develop more robust recommendations.
● Stay up-to-date with industry and competitor activity, and maintain database of product and competitive information.
● Research new product launches and validate information for key product attributes.
● Work with existing imprints, vendors and internal analytics teams to plan for monthly database updates, and adjust reporting as needed.
● Assist in building and specifying requirements for new internal & external platforms, and participate in cross-functional project teams for report development and delivery.
● Oversee the monthly processing and distribution of syndicated reporting tools.
● Ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
● 5-7 years of experience in social listening analytics, with proven track record of leveraging social listening data to drive insights and business recommendations.
● Strong analytical, data interpretation, and critical thinking skills.
● Team leader who can clearly communicate strategies and goals, troubleshoot and manage projects for small team.
● Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint:
◦ Excel includes efficiently utilizing pivot tables, formulas and filtering.
◦ PowerPoint includes creating compelling presentations with clear and concise display of information.
● Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with the ability to work under pressure. Must take initiative and work with a high level of professionalism.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to summarize key findings into clear and actionable recommendations, and to interact with individuals at all levels.
● Strong project management skills and ability to plan and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
