Job Description Summary
The Creative Director, Marketing and Engagement, will work as part of a team in a collaborative, open-office environment to produce branded collateral and marketing materials that communicate our mission, build enthusiasm for the brand and compel people to act. He/She will bring a sense of curiosity and innovation to the workplace, working closely with key creative, marketing and digital partners to develop effective, high quality creative solutions for his/her assigned client group. The Creative Director must be capable of leading multiple creative solutions quickly from concept to completion across multiple platforms with minimal direction. He/She should be able to give clear direction to other designers, writers, freelancers, and vendors to maintain campaign and brand consistency and to deliver all projects on time. Should be able to source and communicate clearly with printers and other vendors to produce materials. Should be well versed in the most current design and marketing trends, techniques and programs. This position will also manage more junior creatives by providing professional goals, reviews, and mentoring.
Responsibilities
• Work with key marketing, creative, and digital partners to develop creative concepts and marketing materials that deliver on client group goals and objectives. (30%)
• Lead the creation of marketing materials from concept to completion, collaborating with staff and freelance designers and writers to elevate quality and effectiveness of all marketing collateral for assigned client group. (30%)
• Manage the flow of all creative projects for assigned client group to ensure on time delivery. (20%)
• Provide creative expertise to other client groups. (15%)
• Manage junior creatives by providing mentoring and professional growth plans. (5%)
Minimum Education Required
BA in a creative field or relevant degree.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
10+ years of working on multi-platform digital, print, and/or video projects at an in-house marketing team, ad agency or creative agency
Knowledge and Skills Required
Must be knowledgeable in the latest creative software in a variety of media. Must be knowledgeable about web design, responsive design and email design. Must be able to lead the creation of print, digital and video projects. Must collaborate and communicate effectively (oral and written), manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, pay close attention to detail.
