The role of Director of Video Platform Business Development will have responsibility for three main areas supporting the overall CTS Video Platform business: analyzing and recommending strategic direction, clearly defining and communicating customer value propositions and, providing sales support for key customer engagements.
This role with spend approximately one third of the time analyzing and recommending the strategic direction of the Video Platform business which will include the following responsibilities:
• Evaluating market conditions and the latest customer trends.Being able to clearly outline and articulate these trends and the impact to the CTS business.
• Follow new technology that potentially could impact the media and entertainment industry.Determine and clearly articulate the impact to overall video delivery ecosystem.
• Conduct deep competitive analysis and determine the best CTS positioning per region of the world for the Video Platform business.
• Follow the latest industry standards that could impact the Video Platform business.
• Working in a collaborative manor and receiving input from other, will provide recommendations for overall the strategy for the Video Platform business.
• Providing input to the Product Management team on roadmap and roadmap priorities.
This role with spend approximately one third of the time clearly defining and communicating customer value propositions of the Video Platform business which will include the following responsibilities:
• Working closely with Product Management and Marketing Communications, help develop and maintain customer value propositions for the Video Platform business as a whole and for each of our product sets.
• Be a part of the team that communicates these value propositions in whitepapers, in blogs and other forms internally and external with customers and at industry events.
• Support Marketing Communications in the creation of collateral supporting many aspects of the strategic direction of the business.
This role with spend approximately one third of the time providing sales support for key customer engagements which will include the following responsibilities:
• Identify new customer opportunities and work with sales organization to qualify and close deals.
• E levate market awareness through participation in industry events, shows & speaking opportunities.
• Help management by contributing, directly or indirectly, to op/ed thought leadership articles which enhances CTS perception as an innovative and leading edge solution in the space.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Expert video workflow knowledge to include architecture, solutions, vendors, partners & competitors
• Well versed in challenges that exist or can arise in broadcast/television production facilities; how those workflows blend into OTT delivery toolsets and how to triage and improve efficacy.
• Strong technical and market knowledge of OTT technologies, including CMS, DAI, playout, transcoding, streaming and delivery platforms, reporting & analytics.
• Well-established relationships industry-wide, but specifically to include major technology providers, leveraging those relationships to bear on new/expanding business for CTS.
Additional Skills Required
• 10+ years of experience working with internet-related technologies or equivalent experience
• 5+ years leading a high impact teams with experience developing impactful content, messaging and effective informational campaigns that drive market awareness.
• Global experience with a preference for individuals who have lived abroad outside the U.S.
• Professional and relevant experience with online video customers or end users
• Ability to 'see around corners' to anticipate future trends, new market transitions, and incorporate customer feedback that enables long-term business success. Ability to translate business objectives and priorities into functional goals and measurement, translate strategy into actionable plans and gain adoption.
• Ability to set clear and deliverable goals. Demonstrates tenacity, commitment to deliver and be accountable for results.

Education Level
Bachelor's degree in technical field (EE, CS, etc.) or business required; Master's degree in engineering or MBA is preferred.
