As a member of the Human Resources leadership team, the individual in this role will oversee and manage Talent Acquisition for our corporate functions, executive recruiting and company-wide recruitment operations for Yelp. We are looking for someone who will work with business leaders of corporate functions to develop and execute strategies for sourcing, assessing and selecting top talent to enable the achievement of business goals and ensure acquisition of high caliber talent in line with Yelp’s core values. They will manage a team of internal recruiters & sourcers, as well as vendors and partner relationships to deliver efficient, cost effective and high quality recruitment. Additional responsibilities include leading the enterprise strategy and execution of core talent acquisition policies, processes and platforms to support all recruiting teams across the organization. This includes the Yelp enterprise Employee Value Proposition (EVP), careers website, core social media strategy, Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other common recruiting processes.
As the leader of the Corporate Talent Acquisition Team you will have the opportunity to....
• Drive the recruiting strategy for Yelp Corporate functions, by partnering with senior management to understand their staffing and workforce planning needs.
• Identify current and future talent needs to develop sourcing strategies and cultivate active and passive talent pools.
• Activate external and internal hiring efforts, identify and source appropriate talent for current open roles within the organization.
• Execute high quality, efficient and cost effective sourcing through various recruiting marketing channels including social media optimization.
• Provide recruitment counsel and guidance to hiring managers by developing specialized or competitive intelligence and research.
• Guide hiring managers in effective and efficient screening and assessment methodologies including behavioral interviewing.
• Develop relationships with external partners as needed to source the best talent for the role.
• Ensure that candidates have an excellent experience throughout the interview process.
• Lead, manage and develop the recruiting team, driving a high level of performance against hiring plans. Ensure the team manages requisitions for assigned customers and fills vacant positions, meeting agreed upon SLAs around time, cost and quality.
• Continuously evaluate the structure and talent within the Corporate Talent Acquisition team to ensure the growing business needs are being met.
In managing Executive Recruitment you will...
• Work with the VP of Human Resources and other senior executives to understand the leadership succession plan and proactively identify areas of future need.
• Establish and maintain a “rolodex” or partnerships with external partners to proactively identify future talent in areas where there may be succession gaps.
• Lead the search for executive openings, managing the end to end process in order to get the right talent in the right position at the right time.
By overseeing Enterprise Recruitment Operations you are...
• Accountable for talent acquisition related company policies such as internal mobility, job posting policy and employee referral.
• Empowered to establish and implement best in class Talent Acquisition processes to ensure an optimal manager and candidate experience, as well as facilitating an efficient, cost effective and high quality sourcing, assessing, selecting and onboarding processes to ensure internal resources are able to focus on value added activities.
• The liasion with the HR Technology team to leverage technology to achieve these goals.
• Responsible for the company-wide global Applicant Tracking System (ATS), in collaboration with the HR Technology team. Ensuring data integrity and compliance in the use of the ATS and identifying and leading initiatives to improve ATS utilization, such as automating workflow and using metrics to drive decisions.
• A partner with the business to define Talent Acquisition SLAs and analytic requirements. Leading the development of talent acquisition dashboards and reports to be used by various recruitment teams, HR and the business to view status and make effective business decisions.
• Leading the establishment, maintenance and constant refreshing of the overarching Yelp Employee Value Proposition, incorporating into our sourcing strategies and candidate experience.
• Overseeing the enterprise career website, ensuring it is an engaging and compelling destination for our candidates.
• Establishing and maintaining the Yelp social media strategy, working with various business functions to maintain and improve the image of Yelp as an employer of choice in the marketplace.
• Responsible for corporate diversity recruiting, ensuring that Talent Acquisition policies, processes and activities align with Yelp’s goal to provide a diverse and inclusive environment. Collaborating with the enterprise Diversity, Culture and Belonging team in this effort.
• Working with various recruiting teams to identify opportunities for collaboration around university recruiting efforts, ensuring that Yelp shows up consistently as an employer of choice.
We are looking for individuals who have:
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5-10 years Human Resources experience required, minimum of 3 years recruiting experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of the hiring process, key recruiting metrics, and how to drive them to deliver successful outcome.
• Experience with Recruitment Operations; designing and implementing recruitment policies, processes and systems.
• Experience in a leadership capacity building, motivating, and managing a team.
• Experience with a growing organization with multiple business units requiring relationship building and establishing a balance between consistency and flexibility to meet customer needs.
• Are results oriented and a self-starter who enjoys a challenge and is dedicated to “rolling up the sleeves” and getting the job done with minimal support and direction.
• Have highly effective judgment and interpersonal skills; and the ability to interface with all levels across the entire organization.
