Hearst Digital Media is seeking a Manager, Insights & Analytics to join a team dedicated to supporting sales, marketing & ad operations with regular and ad- hoc performance analyses to increase the effectiveness of client campaigns . The candidate will assist in developing campaign reports & client insights using proprietary & 3rd party vendor measurement and will also be responsible for leveraging data analytics tools & syndicated research sources to respond to RFPs and consult internally on pre-sale efforts. This position requires a minimum of 2-3 years experience in research, analytics and insights, preferably at a digital publishing company.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop performance reports around custom content programs by aggregating and analyzing data from multiple sources.
• Work closely with project managers, ad ops team & social ignition teams to understand campaign plan, schedule/timing and in-flight performance to inform internal optimization efforts.
• Develop insights around campaign performance to create a succinct presentation of results for clients, based on quantitative & qualitative analyses.
• Present reporting methodology and actual performance results to internal stakeholders and clients, consulting with measurement partners as needed.
• Assist with other projects of the dept., such as ad effectiveness studies, market highlights & trends, data structuring/organization, utilization of first party data to support sales narratives, etc.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years analytics, research or insights experience
• Must be a self-starter and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Candidate should feel comfortable handling multiple deadlines.
• Must be able to derive insights from data and provide valuable and actionable findings.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills. Comfortable working cross-functionally & interfacing with internal/external clients
• Proficient in MS Excel, Keynote and PowerPoint
• Must be resourceful and solutions-focused, with a desire to grow & adapt to an evolving measurement & ad tech landscape.
