Description
Newsy is hiring a Senior Manager of Programmatic Revenue to join our team in NYC. In this role, you'll manage and grow programmatic monetization across the company's digital video business. You will identify, secure, onboard and oversee relationships with Agencies, DSP's, SSP's and trading desks, ultimately having responsibility for the successful sale of Newsy inventory. We're looking for someone who is well connected in the programmatic space.
What you'll do:
• Source near term wins for quick revenue fixes
• Secure long-term deals that will ensure a constant and guaranteed flow of revenue prior to the start of each quarter
• Proactively manage all bidding and private exchange-driven revenue
• Identify and execute strategies around short and long-term inventory needs, working closely with internal teams to utilize inventory as efficiently as possible
• Own and solve problems that require the involvement of a variety of internal teams including Operations, BD and Sales
• Analyze yield and revenue data throughout the day, optimizing revenue opportunities across all digital properties
• Maintain a close relationship with all media buyers, leveraging every opportunity to foster and grow trust and dependence in the Newsy brand
• Leverage existing contacts and develop new relationships across the industry
• Actively meet with partners and potential partners to deepen relationships and expand our client base
• Develop a strategy to monetize third party audience data
• Participate and represent Newsy at industry events and be an ambassador for the team
What you bring:
Education & Experience/Certifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and years of experience
• Minimum five years' experience in online advertising
• Minimum three years' experience in programmatic media sales
• Record of successfully developing and growing a book of business for digital video advertising
Skills & Abilities
• Strong agency relationships, including in-house agency trade desks, programmatic buyers and demand side platform partners
• Exposure to/experience with multiple programmatic buying technologies (DSPs, DMPs, etc.)
• Top notch analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Must be an independent worked that can also collaborate and work effectively across teams
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment; must be able to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers -- both internal and external
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to assess and communicate partner value propositions and negotiate agreements
