Supports deepening of relations with senior research leaders by providing key insights to research performance. Analyzes, writes and consults on research performance to clients. Innovates and further develops research performance metrics for the research community and Elsevier.
Provides key insights on research performance:
• Uncover, in collaboration with Sales and Global Strategic Networks, customer needs for research performance insights, and translates this to an analytical offering with a clear value
• Translate needs for insight into analytical and data requirements
• Analyze research performance of an institute or set of institutions using Scopus and other data
• Retrieve data from various Elsevier systems in liaison with data science colleagues, analyze data to create insights
Innovate research metrics and analytical methods:
• Work together with external academic partners to further develop research metrics, helping establish Elsevier as a thought leader in this space
• Collaborate with Elsevier metrics community to develop the research metrics portfolio, from idea to proof of concept, and support further implementation
• Write academic papers and present to academic community
• Integrate new metrics, methods and visualizations in analytical service offerings

• Master's or PhD in Science, Technology, or Economics
• Scientometric background strongly preferred
• 5-7 years work experience in an analytical role, preferably data science/scientometrics
• Solid understanding of world of research
• Consulting experience a plus
