Candidate must be able to store all food products according to proper industry and Health Board standards within specified time lines in a safe and controlled manner. Candidate must have a basic knowledge of cleaning compounds and will be expected to perform the assorted cleaning and sanitation needs of all appropriate storage areas. Candidate will be held accountable to have a working knowledge of necessary cleaning equipment and to alert their supervisor or Chef on duty of any equipment failures or needed maintenance immediately.
Candidate will be expected to perform their duties in various working environments such as in deep freezers and coolers. Candidate is also responsible for any other tasks deemed necessary by management.
Requirements:
Candidate must be able to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Candidate must be physically able to repeatedly lift, bend, reach, stoop, climb, and carry items for extended amounts of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
Candidate must be able to continuously lift and move items up to 40 pounds.
Candidate must be able to endure heat and moist conditions with reasonable accommodation.
Candidate must have basic knowledge of FIFO (First In First Out) procedures and be able to assist in conducting detailed monthly and quarterly inventories.
Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with Supervisor, Manager and Executive Chef on product knowledge, location and usage.
Candidate must be able to work long periods of time on their feet at a fast pace to insure guest satisfaction.
Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and special events.
Candidate must have the understanding that hours will also vary between day and evening shifts.
Candidates must be 18 years of age. (1-3 years experience in a multi restaurant, high volume operation a plus.)
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent.
