Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in the timely and accurate processing of payroll for multiple entities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
• Reviews labor hour reports submitted by departments
• Performs the balancing of hours and processes payroll for multiple entities
• Reviews and approves payroll discrepancies
• Processes wage garnishments in accordance with applicable laws
• Prepares weekly tax liability deposits
• Works with other department personnel to resolve issues
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists in the preparation of employment tax returns for Federal, State and Local governments
• Maintains confidentiality of all employee and company information and provides superior customer service
• Complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in payroll in a high volume environment
• Basic computer skills including basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
