The Manager, Crackle Sales Development and Advertising Solutions
, is responsible for leading the creation of customized digital advertising solutions and the management of post-sales executions for the Sony Crackle and PlayStation Vue Ad Sales Team.
The Manager, Ad Sales Promotions will support the Ad sales team and the Executive Director, Sales Development and Advertising Solutions by creating creative and strategic proposals that meet advertisers’ marketing objectives while supporting Crackle editorial and brand missions. The successful candidate will be expected to create innovative digital media solutions and custom marketing programs for the Ad sales organization that go beyond media delivery and involve custom production, promotions, branded entertainment etc., contributing to overall ad sales revenue goals.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
RFP Response
• Effectively partner with Sales team and key internal stakeholders (Account Services, Marketing/Social, Development, Programming, Research, Creative and Brand Development) to ensure all RFP responses are effectively communicating the company’s value to the advertiser and that all opportunities are properly vetted and representative of the most recent capabilities and company-wide strategy
• Display exemplary storytelling skills using keen research and creative problem-solving abilities to satisfy advertiser objectives by strategically positioning Sony Crackle as the optimal solution to their marketing needs
• Proactively identify key opportunities that can be standardized and packaged as Off the Shelf Solutions. Exhibit leadership in the development and rollout of these new compelling packages to the National Sales team
OTS Package Development and Management
The Manager, Ad Sales Promotions is expected to collaborate with internal teams, (Programming, Development, Marketing, Research, Account Services) in the development of customizable off-the-shelf seasonal sales solutions.
• Seasonal Programming sponsorship development.Attend regular programming meetings and work with team to ideate and roll out seasonal packages for the Sales team. Packages are to be made available for Sales a minimum of 3 months in advance inclusive of objective, media tactics, research, and media plan.
Campaign Execution
The Manager, Ad Sales Promotion is expected to manage the post-sale Execution process, including but not limited to:
• Lead client kick-off for the campaign, establishing timelines for creative execution and delivery
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create appropriate Statements of Work
• Implement creative or custom elements and memorializing campaigns with thorough case studies
• Project manage the non-media executions of ad packages by collaborating and providing direction to the integrated content, programming, product and marketing team (for programs which may include custom digital production, original video content production, social media outreach programs, contests, etc.)
General Responsibilities
• Attend regularly scheduled weekly meetings with internal teams to discuss ongoing projects and report back to Executive Director on upcoming initiatives and proactive package ideas for rollout to National Sales Team
• Oversee regular updates to Sales packages and marketing materials, inclusive of research and performance trends
KEY SKILLS
• 4 – 6 years digital ad agency or ad sales marketing experience.
• Accomplished Storyteller – Pairing sharp research with written, verbal and design skills to communicate ideas
• Sharp business sense: Resourceful, innovative and responsive to change
• Excellent communication skills, able to interact with all levels of management
• Deep understanding of digital ad marketplace, pricing and key players (online, mobile, OTT and social media)
• Passion and familiarity with the Entertainment / Digital media and/or Gaming space
• Knowledge of online and mobile rich media ad technologies
• Project management expertise and ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Proven problem-solving skills, follow-through, attention to detail and priority setting
• A passion for creativity and drive to develop rich, dynamic and exceptionally effective advertising strategies
• Excellent computer skills – highly proficient with Powerpoint, Keynote and Excel. Design Skills (Photoshop) a plus
