JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox News is looking for a Collection Specialist to join our New York Bureau. As the Collection Specialist you will practice excellent customer services skills to collect payments from agencies and advertisers. Your strategic problem solving and negotiation skills will allow you to build relationships with our clients and coordinate payment options to expedite the collections process.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Daily collection efforts using excellent customer service skills and effective collections strategies pertinent to the Media Industry
• Cultivate and maintain a good relationship with all agencies and advertisers to expedite collection of all aged accounts
• Embrace a culture of continuous improvement and due diligence that lead to streamlining and successful audits
• Maintain excellent working relationship with the Sales Team and Clients to resolve all discrepant accounts in the timely manner
• Process all necessary invoice adjustments and Customers’ refunds
• Work collaboratively with the Cash Team to ensure that all funds are properly and promptly allocated
• Preparation of monthly advertising sales invoices including distribution of monthly invoices to customers
• Assist with month end procedures
• AD HOC as required
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related business field is preferred
• Excellent working knowledge of the Media Industry
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Excellent judgement and problem solving skills
• Fluent in account reconciliation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong sense of ownership and perseverance
• Fluent in MS Excel and Word
