JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking, creative Senior Producer to join our FOX & Friends team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to craft and help manage America’s #1 Cable Morning Show. We are looking for a leader, a proven go-getter, someone who loves making great television and who’s willing to work harder than anyone else to make it happen.
This role will last from October 2018 - November 2018.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide solid news judgment and manage all facets of the production
• Set the editorial and production standards and provide leadership in the newsroom
• Manage broadcast and team to meet content objectives and newscast strategies to live up to the brand
• Oversee control room operations – chief point person for anchors
• Take the lead on editorial and content for the show – day of and beyond
• React to breaking news, oversee the bookers and ensure the right guests are getting on the air as news happens
• Manage and develop segment producers, line producers, writers, and Production Assistants
• Coordinate guests, field crews, shoots, and staffing
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• At least 8 years of newsroom experience and producing / line producing a television newscast
• Excellent organizational and managerial skills as well as the ability to create an environment that fosters team work
• Decisive and skilled management of a control room
• Detail oriented nature with the ability to work under tight deadline pressures
• Knowledge and passion for current events and politics
• Exceptional editorial skills; ability to recognize stories with high potential for compelling television
• Proven track record of leadership and newscast ratings growth
• Degree in Journalism or related field
