Responsible for monitoring and analyzing network equipment demand across a variety of warehouse locations, resulting in optimized inventory that ensure network equipment orders are fulfilled on a timely. Collaborate with Engineering and Network Operations leadership to support the movement of materials/equipment needed to build-out/maintain the wireless network.
Develop and maintain understanding of purchasing dynamics of field operations and order lead time for equipment vendors to coordinate the supply and demand surrounding warehouse stock. Lead the activities that support the shelter build-plan and transactions through the warehouses. Develop and promote adoption of performance improvement initiatives within logistics and warehousing functions.
Prioritize and assign analysis and implementation activities on projects to improve overall network equipment logistics operating performance and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with key stakeholders in Engineering, Network Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and Finance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Engineering, Network Operations, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Operations, remote warehouses and transportation providers in defining, prioritizing, and driving long term initiatives that will support the business process vision and strategies and improve the day-to-day operations within the network equipment supply chain.
• Leads and develops a team that is highly efficient and productive in transaction processing with the proper level of expertise.
• Using SAP Inventory Management, monitor inventory levels, pending orders and sales order demand to ensure stock is on hand to fulfill network equipment orders on a timely basis.
• Develop and deliver detail and management-level reports and analysis surrounding historical and future inventory levels.
• Create and communicate strategies and processes surrounding reorder levels and inventory projections for existing and new items. Develop working relationships with key stakeholders in identifying and collecting projection inputs.
• Develop and implement strategies that minimize costs by optimizing inventory levels across item categories.
• Establish and analyze operational key performance indicators and use findings to guide business decisions and Supply Chain strategies (understanding trade-offs on cost/service).
• Responsible for the build and inventory of cell site buildings and the management of vendors performing these tasks.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related fields required. MBA is desired.
• 5+ years of Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics required.
• CPM (Certified Purchasing Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of inventory planning theory and software (SAP IM/ PM).
• Cross functional/organizational team management and facilitation skills (internal and external).
• Demonstrated understanding of procurement cost drivers.
• Working knowledge of productivity & efficiency methods, material handling design, warehouse management systems, cost analysis, value engineering and project management techniques.
• Demonstrated data and financial analysis capability.
• Solid project management and continuous improvement skills required. (Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean experience strongly preferred).
• Individual in this position is seasoned purchasing professionals who can understand and resolve complex issues.
• Experience with wireless operations preferred.
• Required travel is 30%
