Associate Director, US Regional Security
Overview
The Associate Director, US Regional Security is the senior representative on Fox's Global Security Team, covering security management for all domestic sites outside of Los Angeles, CA. This position reports to the SVP of Security and will be based in Los Angeles. This position will be expected to travel approximately 50%.
Responsibilities:
Holistic security management in assigned region to include physical security, crisis management, travel/event security, and technological and operational security design and implementation. Oversee the strategy, deployment and quality of physical security including contract guard personnel and the development of policies, standards and guidelines. Support the evolution and maintenance of the corporate crisis management plan. Develop and implement emergency response plans for all key locations. Rehearse, exercise and modify all associated security, crisis and emergency plans across the region. Conduct security and emergency response training for employees and executives as required. Perform security risk/threat assessments, review design drawings and ensure physical security is enabled for sites. Conduct incident reporting and basic investigations in collaboration with Legal, HR, Labor relations, etc. Support special event security, e.g., movie premieres, sporting events, anti-piracy operations, etc. Recommend and assist with the design of physical security systems for assigned sites. Act as primary contact for senior Fox executives and federal and local law enforcement agencies to ensure the security of established sites. Manage regional budget, vendor relationships and reporting metrics.
Requirements, Attributes, Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree (Criminal Justice, Business or related) or equivalent practical experience. At least 7 years of corporate security experience AND 5+ years of supervisory experience over direct reports and/or security vendors in matrixed environments with global reach. Understanding of physical security issues, proper investigative methodologies and management of investigative services. Experience covering a large multi-site region. Flexibility to work all hours. Previous Entertainment experience preferred. Effective presentation and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with a variety of audiences including management, clients and employees. Ability to think strategically, develop solutions and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
