Job Summary
The Senior HR Business Partner (Labor Relations) has responsibility for in-scope items for assigned business units. The Senior HR Business Partner (Labor Relations) is responsible for all Labor Relations processes excluding arbitration and collective bargaining.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for end to end case management and resolution of the following processes:grievances, advice on labor agreements, contract advice and interpretation, request for information from unions, dispute resolution, NLRB & Arbitration prep support, union escalations, ISPP (union force adjustments), local/CRC committees, union related training (new manager, OEPP, CDB), general LR support handled currently handled by HRBP’s.
• Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors related to a broad range of topics related to union, represented workforce, acceptable work practices, etc.
• Acts as a liaison between line leaders and HRBP’s.Interfaces with other HR COE’s, Shared Services, and legal to streamline processes and standardize work.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration/Management required
• Master’s Degree in HR or MBA preferred
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
• Fully seasoned with typically 5+ years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience or 2-3 years with a Master's Degree.
• Large company HR experience in a COE / Shared Services environment
• Hands-on experience and capability in working with both a represented and non-represented workforce
• Familiarity and/or experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies – standard work, Process Mapping, Kaizen, etc
