Overview

We are looking for a Vice President, Human Resources Operations who is responsible for establishing and executing consistent HR practices and policies in CSA which are aligned with Canon USA guidelines, while working effectively across the various CSA businesses to ensure alignment between the business and overall HR functional objectives.
Responsibilities include planning, development, implementation, administration, and budgeting for several HR functions including talent acquisition, field employee relations, policy administration, succession planning and human resources development.

Responsibilities
• Establishe and ensure HR programs including talent management, human resources, field employee relations practices, HR policies and compliance programs are implemented effectively and consistently throughout the zones and GMS to drive effective recruiting, retention, corrective action and development of critical employee resources
• Partner with senior CSA leadership to achieve organizational goals and build organizational capability within the functional areas
• Participate in the development and planning of HR strategies and work with Zone HR leadership to develop priorities and resource allocation decisions to ensure effective balance between delivering day-to-day tactics and implementing business strategies
• Ensure consistent application of all HR practices, including those relating to Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and Corrective Actions, and Succession and Development programs
• Support Zone HR on company-wide programs and initiatives, such as salary reviews /adjustments, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational development / succession planning to ensure consistent administration
• Foster effective communication throughout the enterprise. Acts as a change agent to ensure new programs and processes are effectively introduced and integrated into zone operations. Ensure the engagement of and effective communication with Zone Operations leadership
• Monitor and assess the performance of HR zone management relating to critical HR measures
• Manage separations including ensuring exit interviews are conducted and company property is returned. Works with internal leaders to improve retention by utilizing feedback received during exit interviews and surveys
• Work collaboratively across all departments to provide guidance on employee relations matters. Works with Zone HR to develop a consistent approach for investigating complaints and concerns, evaluating and offering possible courses of action and providing recommendations and direction for resolution
• Partner with the Zone HR and line managers to facilitate recruiting efforts by ensuring open and clear communication between HR and the hiring function. Provide input on employment offers and starting salaries to help ensure consistency
• Partner with Zone leadership (Zone Sales/Service VPs and HR Directors) and the Learning and Development group to recommend and facilitate relevant training initiatives in the Zone to support the development of CSA’s employees and managers
• Coordinate various Zone employee activities and morale initiatives including Take Your Child To Work Day, Winners Circle Luncheon, and organizing contributions to Charitable organizations
• Develops and tracks the Zone Human Resources Operations budget
• Understands and applies all Federal, State, and local laws in conjunction with company policies and procedures. Monitors new and proposed HR laws and regulations and their impact on the organization
Qualifications
• Post graduate degree/MBA in relevant field preferred
• BA in Business Administration, HR Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology strongly preferred
• 20+ years experience
• Prior broad managerial experience required
• experience working in large, complex, and matrix organized organizations required
• Overnight travel up to 25% required
