Job Description
Our Finance team at TEGNA is in the market for an Internal Auditor to participate in the execution of financial and IT audits at TEGNA corporate offices and subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
• Execute assigned sections of internal audits (typically cash, accounts payable, payroll, and IT general controls.)
• Identify financial statement errors and internal control weaknesses and develop meaningful recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate and interact effectively (both orally & in writing) with other members of the audit team and auditees.
• Assist the in-charge auditor in planning and administration of audit assignments.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• IT audit experience preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Proficiency in MS Word or Excel
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees of all levels at TEGNA subsidiary locations
• Ability to travel up to 25%
