Job Summary
The Manager, Social Intelligence will develop and conduct social media conversation monitoring, analysis, and reporting on behalf of Horizon and its clients. To do this, he/she will have at his/her disposal Horizon’s social listening tools and team, known collectively as the Distillery. He/she will work closely with senior members of the Distillery team to assist with the development of reports and actionable findings under the supervision of the VP, Social Intelligence and other senior Distillery members.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Analysis & Reporting
• 35% Under guidance of senior Distillery team members work on a small team to provide social listening services for a roster of client engagements which will include web-based social listening tools (e.g., Netbase, Sprinklr, SocialGuide) to conduct social listening analysis as outlined within clients’ scope of work.
• 40% Assist in the development of client reports to be delivered on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis and ensure that work meets internal and external client deadlines
• 5% With supervision, manage development of new listening projects and approaches
-New Business & Thought Leadership
• 5% Conduct social listening analysis in support of new business pitches and thought leadership
• 5% Assist in setting up data and tools to be showcased as part of client and prospect tours
-Distillery Education & Collaboration
• 5% Assist with internal Distillery overviews and training sessions (intern training, Media 101, client/prospect tours)
-Trends & Vendor Assessment
• 5% Stay up to date on social listening and analytic technologies and trends, and participate in assessing third-party vendors as part of evolution of Distillery offerings and reports

None
Knowledge and Skills Required
• 3-5 years of experience in social listening, digital/social media, or qualitative research
• Proven ability to collaborate with others and work in teams required
• Strong analytical, writing, critical thinking and problem solving skills required
• Previous experience with social listening tools preferred – Netbase, Crimson Hexagon, Radian6, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, SocialGuide, etc. -
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience presenting a plus
• Strong work ethic

• Able to recognize and communicate meaningful patterns in data (“what does it mean?”)
• Able to see the forest through the trees, translating data to insights (“why does it matter?”)
