RHCB - Marketing Assistant
The Random House Children's Publishing Group seeks a Marketing Assistant to join their Trade Marketing team. This position reports to the Marketing Manager and Director of Trade Marketing.
Main responsibilities include:
• Assist Marketing Manager with organizing and streamlining relationships within a large network of ad reps, and work back with the trade marketing team to coordinate timely submission of print and digital ads
• Update and maintain all department grids and lists including: advertising grid, budget grid, advertising analytics tracking grid, vendor contact list, Goodreads giveaways list, ebook downprice promotions, and BookBub advertising list
• Create timely reporting documents for completed ad campaigns, working back with title marketing managers to analyze and optimize results in real time
• Work closely with Marketing Manager to manage real-time updates and changes to marketing plans and MyPlans system
• Update promotional item inventory lists and manage orders for conferences and festivals
• Maintain physical and digital marketing inboxes
• Other responsibilities include: updating marketing campaign power points, creating presentations for key meetings, organizing setup and coordinating agendas for author meetings, managing invoices, tracking POs, running monthly budget checks in the yearlong budget, and sending booktuber books following a seasonal schedule
Your profile:
The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
• Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills (required)
• Ability to be a team player and to work independently
• Strong sense of urgency and the ability to juggle multiple projects
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel
• Some office experience required
• Interest in marketing and children’s publishing specifically (preferred)
