Requirements
The Operations Assistant will support the Product Information Manager, the Senior Director of Operations and the Operations team. Responsibilities will include maintenance of title information in our title management system and understanding the flow of information to other internal and external systems, helping with ad hoc projects, and providing back-up for the Digital Operations Team.
Responsibilities:
• Assignment of ISBNs
• Maintaining accurate title information in database
• Updating title information as needed
• Communicating across departments/teams as needed
• Providing back-up for Digital Operations tasks, including release of e-Book metadata and e-Book distribution
• Serving as back-up for the Administrative Assistant as needed
Skills/Experience Required:
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as necessary.
• Solve problems independently and work effectively with others.
• Pay close attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to learn new technologies.
• One to two years in a publishing environment, or in an operational position, is a plus.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
